Butneither did He consent to the
accusation by any bowing of the head. He shews to Peter and John
the Cupcontaining the Blood of Christ. Thesetherefore made no great
uproar but were content in taking the man forwhom they came. Now
this man Barabbas was a noted thief and had been tried before thistime.
So she followedwith the others to the place where He should suffer.
And she could not bear that she should see Him after that she knew
Hemust suffer. And all could see that a storm was coming. Butneither
did He consent to the accusation by any bowing of the head. But
they would not that thisshould be so. At this time were the disciples
scattered abroad. And the multitude cried aloud: Yea,release the
man Barabbas! Now among the garments of the Christ was a coat the
which Ihave often seen Him wear. For very nigh to death was He and
His voice was faint and low. And now she turned from the tomb to
tell the disciples. And the spirit and soul might enter it again
becausethe body lived. Andsinking down upon the ground, she swooned.
This man was he that is spoken of as Simon of Cyrene. And herein
is a great mystery: for he bare it and yet bare it not in theeyes
of men. Ye speak lies if yesay I am of his company. And herein is
a great mystery: for he bare it and yet bare it not in theeyes of
men. It was now the hour ye call four of the clock.
